For my translation 1 speech, I decided to use slides that summarized my entire essay. Each slide focused on a different ‘milestone’ / phase that I went through. For example, one slide focused on the issues I faced with ESL in elementary and middle school and how they made me feel. Another slide told my story on my high school English experience and how my teachers inspired my passion for writing and changed my view on the subject. I decided to summarize my essay that way instead of telling it a different way because I thought it was a great way to talk about my experience and to include new details that weren’t in the essay. It was also another way to show more vulnerability.
